A playscape is a new form of street furniture. It combines playground, sports field, park and art object and thus offers a cooler and more urban alternative to the classic playground with seesaws and swings. Playscapes come in many forms with different orientations, contents and offers.
They're places of activity, encounters and communication, as well as instagrammable, eye-catching, attractive and can positively influence and rejuvenate the cityscape. At its best, a playscape functions across generations and is an urban meeting place.
The Playscape Wiesbaden is to be installed in the gap between buildings in the currently somewhat desolate Hochstättenstraße. This will create a new anchor point in the city center for young people who visit the library opposite.
The street will become more attractive and safer and a link will be created between Schwalbacher Straße and the pedestrian zone. For families, this is an additional reason to go into the city center and revitalize it. A small food truck could provide a temporary culinary offering to increase the quality of the visit and expand the target group.

The proposed play equipment is more attractive than conventional playground equipment and can appeal to different age groups depending on the selection. Thematic staging could implement the Wiesbaden theme of springs and water in a very appealing way and thus create an authentic reference to the Wiesbaden location.
